The Swiss documentary film “Cleveland Versus Wall Street” by Jean-Stéphane Bron is among the five films in the running for the French film award in the category of Best Documentary Film. The 36th award ceremony of the coveted César will take place in Paris on February 25, 2011.
The Swiss-French coproduction (Saga Production, Lausanne) gets to the bottom of the subprime mortgage crisis in the USA, using a feature-film dramaturgy. It celebrated its premiere in Cannes in the Directors' Fortnight section in 2010, had its theatrical release in Swiss cinemas in September and has been seen by over 28,000 viewers (distributor: JMH, Neuchâtel). The film is nominated for Prix de Soleure at the 46th Solothurn Film Festival, which opened yesterday.
