“Das Fraulein” Wins Jury's Prize in Milano

Andrea Staka's “Das Fraulein” has been awarded the jury's prize at the 14th “Sguardi Altrove” film festival in Milano (Italy) which took place March 5. to 11., 2007. The Milano festival is dedicated to the work of female directors from around the globe. Staka's film, already awarded the Golden Leopard at the Locarno festival and the Golden Heart in Sarajevo, was shown for the first time in Italy.
The three jurors state that “this is a great film we recommend for distribution throughout Italy”. Staka follows up on Ruxandra Zenide, another Swiss director, who won the Milano prize for her film “Ryna” in 2006. At the Milano festival eight films from around the world compete for the jury's prize.
