The Swiss documentary film “Goodnight Nobody” was released in Germany on March 15. The film by Jacqueline Zünd, the winner of five international awards and the “Quartz 2011” for Best Film Score Film, will start simultaneously in such major cities as Berlin, Hamburg, Hannover, Frankfurt, Dresden and Leipzig, followed by other 20 cites. The film will be screened in Nuremburg in conjunction with the World Sleep Day on March 16, 2012.
“Goodnight Nobody” invites viewers to spend the night with four insomniacs from around the world: Burkina Faso, China, Ukraine and the USA. The film, produced by Docmine in Zurich, celebrated its premiere two years ago at the Festival Visions du Réel in Nyon, where it was honoured with the award for Best Newcomer Film. Thereafter “Goodnight Nobody” was screened at film festivals in Helsinki, Leipzig, Montreal, Sebastopol, Taipei, Warsaw and, in 2011, in Cannes in the ACID series. The German distributor Konstantin Fritz (Mixtvision, Munich) will organise thematic discussions about insomnia at the release, together with highlighting the successful festival career around the world.!
