Cannes 2010: Swiss film productions in Official Selection
15.04.2010
With Jean-Luc Godard’s “Film Socialisme” in the Official Selection of “Un certain regard”, Switzerland will be prominently present at the world’s most important film festival. In “Film Socialisme” (production: Vega Film, Zurich,) questions concerning liberty, equality, fraternity and humanity’s legends arise during a Mediterranean cruise.
The film “Aurora” by Cristi Puiu, Rumanian-French-German-Swiss coproduction (Bord Cadre Films, Geneva), will also be screened in the “Un certain regard” section.
It remains to be seen whether further Swiss film productions will be screened in the parallel sections of “Critics’ Week” and “Directors’ Fortnight”. The selections in these sections will be announced on April 19 and 22, respectively.
