Campaign Booster

Successful launch of the new marketing initiative

08.12.2025

With its Campaign Booster, newly launched in 2025, SWISS FILMS has supported the marketing campaigns of six Swiss film releases. Three films have already opened cinemas.

Since the beginning of this year, SWISS FILMS has been commissioned by the Federal Office of Culture (FOC) to strengthen the visibility of Swiss film productions within Switzerland. As part of this pilot project focusing on domestic promotion, SWISS FILMS has developed the Campaign Booster as a new marketing measure. Based on an open call, the campaigns for the release of the following films were systematically supported and accompanied:

MARY ANNING
Cinema release:  November 26, 2025

The campaign featured a fossil hunt tailored to families throughout Switzerland: 800 fossil boxes were distributed by partners all over Switzerland. A game on the website engages the audience to be drawn to the film screenings.

Mélanie Fontaine, campaign manager for MARY ANNING:
“The support provided by the Campaign Booster enabled us to develop original and collaborative communication. This encouraged strong mobilisation among partners, who became more actively involved thanks to the dynamics and visibility of the fossil hunt and the game-oriented website.”

HALLO BETTY
Cinema release: November 20, 2025

An extensive video book with accompanying school materials was developed for HALLO BETTY. In addition, influencer collaborations on social media ensure that a young audience is addressed and motivated to go to the cinema.

LOVE ROULETTE
Cinema release: December 4, 2025

The cinema release was supported by additional poster and public transport placements, as well as digital display and social media ads, to specifically increase the visibility and reach of the main campaign through various channels.

 EWIGI LIEBI
Cinema release: February 14, 2026

Starting in February 2026, a mobile video love bus will announce the cinema release in various rural regions of Switzerland. The bus invites passers-by to record and send their own video love messages, thereby bringing the film directly and interactively into public life.

À BRAS-LE-CORPS
Cinema release: January 29, 2026  Early 2026

The campaign works with micro-influencers who distribute video content tailored specifically to social networks with their own visual identity – with the overall aim of transforming engagement into cinema visits.

KALARI KID
Cinema release: September 2026

A multi-stage impact campaign is planned before the documentary’s release in August 2026. It includes a “Kalari Choreo Challenge” on social media, portraits of the protagonists and martial arts demonstrations.

New partnerships for Swiss filmmaking

This year has also been used to establish partnerships with leading media companies and advertising marketers. In addition to the Campaign Booster, these new partnerships are intended to benefit Swiss filmmaking as a whole.

We will report on the new partnerships and first insights from previous campaigns at the Solothurn Film Festival. SWISS FILMS will launch the next open call for the Campaign Booster in early 2026.
