Campaign Booster

Six Swiss Projects Selected

17.07.2025

With the “Campaign Booster”, SWISS FILMS is launching a marketing initiative aimed at strengthening the visibility of Swiss cinema on the domestic market. Six Swiss films have been selected to benefit from this programme. During the SWISS FILMS Talk in Locarno, we will present three upcoming release campaigns.

For this first Campaign Booster Open Call, 23 Swiss projects were submitted. Based on pre-defined selection criteria (see Open Call guidelines) and the recommendation of Danish marketing expert Sanne Juncker Pedersen (Danish Film Institute), promising projects with strong audience potential were selected. SWISS FILMS has decided to collaborate on the release of the following six films:

SWISS FILMS Talk in Locarno (August7, 2025 – 1:00 PM, Campari Lounge)

During the SWISS FILMS Talk in Locarno, marketing experts will briefly present three of the six promotion campaigns planned as part of the Campaign Booster. Together, we will explore the following question: How can Swiss films reach a wider audience? The talk will be followed by an open discussion with the audience and a small reception.

National Promotion

The Campaign Booster is a marketing initiative by SWISS FILMS, and part of the pilot project “Domestic Promotion”, implemented on behalf of the Federal Office of Culture (FOC). The goal of the project is to increase the visibility of Swiss films within the country, reach a broader audience, and ultimately foster greater interest in new Swiss productions.

In close collaboration with the industry, SWISS FILMS is launching national B2C marketing collaborations around Swiss films, series or talents with audience appeal. At the same time, SWISS FILMS is seeking to partner with committed individuals and organisations that are ready to support Swiss film culture and highlight stories from Switzerland. A small, newly formed team at SWISS FILMS is carrying out these activities in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders. The insights and learnings gained from the pilot will be shared with the wider industry.
