Awards for Swiss films in Tübingen and Stuttgart

A Swiss film production and a coproduction were honoured with awards at the 27th French Film Festival, which concluded on November 10, 2010: Dominique Margot’s documentary film “Toumast - Guitars And Kalashnikovs” won the TV5 Monde Audience Prize, endowed with EUR 2,500; and Tunisian director Raja Amari’s feature film “Dowaha” (Buried Secrets; coproduction: Akka Films, Geneva) won the Critics’ Award, amounting to EUR 2,000.
The French Film Festival was held simultaneously in the two cities of Tübingen and Stuttgart in southern Germany. It also screened Jean-Stéphane Bron's film "Cleveland Versus Wall Street" which has been tremendously well received in French cinemas, and Marina Rosset's short animation film "Laterarius" in the short film competition. The new director of the festival, devoted to francophone film productions, is actor Christopher Buchholz, who recently featured in the Swiss film production "180°".
