The focus of this 3-part documentary film series is on 26 women from Kenya who have been planting trees for a quarter of a century. They are not affiliated with Nobel Peace Prize Winner Wangari Mathai’s Green Belt Movement, which is a well-known nationwide reforestation project. They represent an independent group of people who, subsequent to the government’s brief incentive and relief phase, have taken their fate into their own hands: a fate which has become an integral part of every tree.
