A woman has gone off by herself to spend the summer in a remote house at a lonely pond. The natural surroundings become a world charged with energy where external appearances are overshadowed by inner states of mind. It is quiet; other sensibilities prevail, making room for perceptions that escape daily life. Sometimes the world melts away and reality yields to a spectral surreality.
