A film that sheds light on the subject of the death penalty from a very particular perspective. It portrays a Swiss woman working hard to make a very expending and personal contribution towards its abolition by building up a close and long lasting relationship with her penpal on Death Row of a prison in Texas, USA. She does this by writing to him and visiting him, thus introducing a shred of humanity into a system that is so inhumane.
