Emine, a young member of the underground resistance has fled from Turkey to Switzerland, where she waits in a transit home for a decision on her request for asylum. Torn between memories of the past and the desire for a new life she discovers feelings and longings that had long been suppressed. Emine falls in love with Peter, a young assistant in the home. When she tries to hide an illegal refugee there, the relationship is put to a severe test.

Emine, giovane militante clandestina, è fuggita dalla Turchia per rifugiarsi in Svizzera, dove attende in un centro di transito la decisione circa la sua domanda d'asilo. Tormentata tra i ricordi del passato e la voglia di cominciare una nuova vita, scopre dei sentimenti e dei desideri che fino ad oggi ha sempre represso, e si innamora di un giovane assistente sociale, Peter. Quando Emine nasconde un rifugiato irregolare nel centro, la loro amicizia sarà messa a dura prova.
