Some of the teenagers attending the Pestalozzi grammar school do not seem to know the reason for their being there: they are bored, they do the bare minimum and take drugs. Alex is one of the most difficult students, so difficult in fact that two teachers, Aldo Talarico and Daria, give him extra special attention. The relationship between Talarico and Alex changes, however, when the teacher discovers his student’s musical talent. In his desperate search for distance, freedom and love, Alex ultimately confounds the fragile certainties of the adult world that are actually supposed to show him the way.
