Didier, a farmer who has been deaf since birth, lives in a remote house in the heart of rural France. Since the death of Claude, his brother and only companion, he has had to cope with an immense emptiness. To avoid being swallowed up by his isolation, he joins a cattle farm, but struggles to find his place there. The film follows his daily struggle, driven by a vital challenge: reinventing his language, making himself heard and transforming his disability into strength.
