Maharishi Mahesh Yogi wanted to eliminate it. The glider pilot loves its energy. The mountain farmer family fears its power. For some the Foehn does fit right, for others it doesn't. Meteorologists and atmospheric physicists have explored this alpine wind for more than two hundred years, but don't really understand it.
