What happens when a society turns its back on traumatic historical events and would prefer to forget them, just like its contemporary witnesses? The film sheds light on the failure to come to terms with the crimes of the communist regime in Romania from the perspective of a single family. Based on archive material, the filmmaker reconstructs the experiences of her grandparents, who were targeted by the secret police for decades in communist Romania.
