Aurélie, a police inspector, inadvertently let Florian escape, a young man suspected of being involved in the disappearance of his girlfriend Julia. A few days later, she discovers that Florian has been placed under arrest on a Swiss cargo ship for the murder of a sailor. Aurélie is sent to South Africa to bring him back and soon establishes that Julia was a passenger on the same ship a few weeks earlier. But as she pursues her investigation – all alone – she faces mounting opposition from the crew. The tension rises steadily, and Julia’s ghost seems to hover over the freighter.
