Fourteen-year-old Wanda and her family move to Switzerland, with the hope that everything will be better. The big house with its overgrown garden, the idyllic town – although this all looks very promising, they find the fresh start difficult. Old wounds are soon reopened and feelings rekindled as desperate attempts are made to function better and the hopes for an intact family are dashed. When Wanda decides to salvage her family, she is pushed to the limit.
