After an eye surgery the writer Charlotte F. seeks a quick recovery at her parents' country house. During her stay, a change in the nature of her morphine-dependent husband becomes apparent as he spends time with a local cat. In the deceptive murmur of white spring blossoms both of them delve into their innermost selves.
