A grey sky, an empty stadium, darkened floodlights and an infusion of melody serve as the setting for Chris Hooson as he roams through the abandoned stands. He had dedicated a compassionate hymn to the Everton football team during a difficult phase. We accompany Hooson and his band Dakota Suite on a journey from the football stadium, along the barren northwest coast of England and in the songwriter’s living room. His past compels him to take his guitar in hand again and again, resulting in music as fragile as life itself. The film is a lyrically sullen music documentary, providing the viewer insight into the source of inspiration of this exceptional musician.
