Film programmes

We work together with international film institutions to help Swiss filmmakers achieve global visibility – through curated programmes, retrospectives and special events.

To foster cross-cultural dialogue through film and gain access to targeted new film markets, SWISS FILMS paves the way for film programmes around the world. These are designed to provide an insight into the wide diversity of films made in Switzerland or to shine the spotlight on Swiss filmmakers. We collaborate with established international film institutions, festivals, film archives and VOD platforms. Many of these programmes are run in partnership with the Swiss representations abroad. Large-scale projects with a specific focus on priority countries are carried out in consultation with the Swiss Arts Council (Pro Helvetia) and the Federal Office of Culture (FOC).
