Born and grew up in the remote border region of Ukraine, which was once a western outpost for the UDSSR and now represents the Eastern borders of the EU to Ukraine. Ukrainian citizenship. Shaped by the political whirlwind of her home country, she graduated from the Theodor-Heuss College, which promotes democratic leadership and public involvement into Eastern Europa.
In 2008, she moved to Switzerland and made in both countries short movies which won numerous international awards. 2013 BA in Film from ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts), with a focus on editing. Since then she is working in postproduction. 2021 MA degree in documentary filmmaking (ZHdK). Her diploma work, the feature-length documentary Pushing Boundaries, had its world premiere at the 52nd Vision Du Reel, and won the ZONTA award.
