Olga Dinnikova

Actor, Screenwriter, Director, Editor, Sound Editor

Born in Riga in 1985. She grew up in Latvia and Israel and is living in Switzerland since 2000. After training as an actress at the European Film Actor School in Zurich, she appeared in various film and television productions, including MARIJA by Michael Koch. In 2011, she began studying film at the ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts), specialising in directing and screenwriting, which she completed in 2014 with the short feature film LUFTSCHLOSS. In 2016, the film was nominated for the Studio Hamburg Newcomer Award. She then completed a master's degree in screenwriting at the ZHdK. Meanwhile, she wrote the episode ‘Sonja’ in the episodic feature film PERIPHERIE (dir: Mack, Brühlmann, Ribler, Joerg, Pillonel; in competition at the Zurich Film Festival 2016, among others). In 2023, her first feature BEHIND THE GLASS premiered at the 60th Solothurn Film Festival and was nominated for the Prix du Public. She lives in Switzerland and is a member of the ARF/FDS.
