Melodie Simina

Born in 1996 in Zurich, Switzerland. In 2019 she graduated from the International Academy for Film Acting in Cologne. She is represented by the international acting agency Actorsgarden, based in Berlin and London. She made her international debut in 2021 in the British Sky series DOMINA. Another success was the sci-fi short film I AM (2021) by Jerry Hoffmann, produced by the Hamburg Media School and nominated for the 48th Student Academy Awards. Her feature debut came with Doris Dörrie’s comedy FREIBAD (2022), followed by further appearances in high-profile TV and streaming productions, including the Netflix series SLEEPING DOG (2023) and the Amazon series PERFEKT VERPASST (2024), in which she starred alongside Anke Engelke and Bastian Pastewka. She played Rosie in the award-winning British short film LIONS (2023) by Beru Tessema. She can be seen as one of the protagonists in the series BLACK FRUITS (2024), which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The series project was developed by screenwriter, actor and executive producer Lamin Leroy Gibba. In her role as Karla, she takes a unique and courageous look at the realities of life for black and queer people in Germany. As 37, she takes on her first role in a French film, in 37: THE SHADOW AND THE PREY (2024), by Arthur Môlard, to be released in French cinemas in November.
