One of the best-known film composers in the German-speaking regions. His work as a film composer has been honoured with five German Film Awards for Best Music and has also earned him two Bavarian Film Awards and three film awards from the Fondation SUISA. Niki Reiser also wrote the music for the Academy Award Nominee film BEYOND SILENCE (1996) and the Academy Award Winner film NOWHERE IN AFRCA (2001), both films by director Caroline Link.
