Christoph Schaub

Director, Screenwriter

Born 1958 in Zurich. Member of Videoladen ZH in 1981. Co-founder of Dschoint Ventschr Filmproduktion in 1988. His first feature film 'Wendel' won the prestigious Max Ophüls Prize. Many of his feature films have won numerous national and international awards. The feature films STILLE LIEBE, STERNENBERG, JEUNE HOMME, HAPPY NEW YEAR or GIULIAS VERSCHWINDEN found a large audience.
He has repeatedly realised documentary films on architectural and urbanistic themes. These films have been widely distributed and recognised nationally and internationally by audiences and experts alike.
He was co-initiator and for many years jointly responsible for the Riff Raff and Houdini studio cinemas in Zurich and the Bourbaki cinema in Lucerne. He is a member of the Swiss Film Academy, the European Film Academy (EFA) and the Asian Pacific Screen Academy (APSA).
