Three awards for “Soundless Wind Chime”

The feature film “Soundless Wind Chime” by Chinese director Kit Hung, who lives in the canton of Uri, garnered awards at festivals in Spain and Canada. At the 14th Festival internacional de cine lesbico gai y transexual de Madrid (October 29-November 9, 2009) the film was honoured with an award for Best Director as well as an award for Best Actor for Lu Yulai. And on November 1, the film (coproduction: Das Kollektiv, Zurich) had won the award for Best Feature Film at the 22nd Image & Nation Festival in Montreal.
“Soundless Wind Chime” tells the poetic story of Hong Kong Chinese Ricky’s search for his lost Swiss lover, Pascal. The film celebrated its world premiere in the International Forum of Jungen Films in Berlin in January this year and was nominated for the Teddy Award. It had also won awards at the Gay & Lesbian Film Festivals in Turin and Vancouver and has been distributed in numerous countries, including: in Germany (Salzgeber), France (Optimal), Great Britain (Peccadillo Pictures), Hong Kong (Golden Scene) and in the USA (TLA Releasing). The Swiss production company “Das Kollektiv” is planning the cinematic release of the film “Soundless Wind Chime”.
