Swiss documentaries in Tel Aviv and Thessaloniki

The international documentary film festival “oc aviv” Tel Aviv, March 15. to 24. 2007) will present “ppie Masala” a film by Ulrich Grossenbacher and Damaris Lüthi, while at the same time the 9th Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival (Greece, March 16. to 25., 2007) will present “in Lied für Agyris” a Stefan Haupt film. The two festivals were founded in the late nineties and have since built up a very good reputation among the industry. Both have invited multiple Swiss documentary films over the last years, in 2002 “War Photographer” by Christian Frei was awarded the prize for “Best Film” in Tel Aviv.
Both films were nominated for the Swiss Film Prize 2007. After Thessaloniki “Ein Lied für Agyris” will be presented at the international festivals of Kiew (April) and Munich (May). For “Hippie Masala” the Tel Aviv invitation was the tenth in its career.
