Sales success for «Vitus»

At the European Film Market in Berlin, Fredi M. Murer’s most recent work «Vitus» (Production: Hugofilm Productions, Zurich) was sold for distribution in France, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Hungary, and Israel. Negotiations for the release in Germany are ongoing. At its international premiere at the Berlin Film Palace (Berlin Specials) on Tuesday, February 14, the movie played to an excited audience response. Fredi M. Murer and cast Bruno Ganz, Julika Jenkins, Urs Jucker, and Daniel Rohr were in attendance.
The world distribution company Medialuna Cologne was in charge of the film’s sales at the film market where it received great interest. For France and Japan, Océan Films and Tokyo Theatres secured the film’s rights. Both distributors are leaders in the arthouse cinema. «Vitus» was released in the German speaking part of Switzerland on February 2nd (Distribution: Frenetic Films) and has sold more than 40,000 tickets.
