Also invited to the festival is the multi-award-winning apocalyptic thriller “Hell” by Swiss director Tim Fehlbaum, (coproduction: Vega Film, Zurich), as well as the film “Unser Garten Eden” by Mano Khalil, whose documentary film portrays life in the microcosm of allotment gardens.
Rounding off the Swiss presence in Warsaw is “The Substance - Albert Hofmann's LSD” by Martin Witz and the film “Carte Blanche,” in which Alexandre Goetschmann portrays a traumatologist who works in a clinic in Tel Aviv.
There is an increased awareness of Swiss films in capital city of Poland. Three years ago Peter Liechti was honoured with the Millennium Award of the Planete Doc Film Festival for “The Sound Of Insects.” Within just nine years, the festival has evolved into one of the most interesting platforms for the documentary film genre in Eastern Europe.
