“Melodias” wins prize in Milan, Italy

At the 5th International Film and Video Festival “Filmmaker Doc”, which took place from November 22-29, 2005, in Milan, the Swiss documentary film “Melodias” by François Bovy won the second prize by international jury in the category “Work and Social Themes”. The award came with a prize sum of 1,250 Euro.
“Melodias” premiered in Nyon at the Festival Visions du réel and was given two awards there. In addition, it screened at several important European and American film festivals (Hot Docs, Toronto; Sao Paolo International Film Festival; Rencontres du Documentaire, Montréal; Amsterdam Shadow Film Festival). It has been nominated in the documentary film category for the 2005 European Film Prize, which will be bestowed on December 3.
