Fredi M. Murer honored by Berlinale director

The Swiss filmmaker Fredi M. Murer, whose film “Vitus” has received great resonance at this year’s Berlinale (see previous press release by SWISS FILMS) was personally honored by festival director Dieter Kosslick on Thursday, February 16, 2006. Kosslick awarded the filmmaker with one of four bronze bears which are bestowed to filmmakers this year for special accomplishments. Director and actor George Clooney (“Good Night, and Gook Luck”; “Syriana”) also received one of the awards.
