Four Swiss films in Edinburgh

At the 61st Edinburgh International Film Festival, taking place in the Scottish capital from August 15 to 26, 2007, two long and two short films from Switzerland will be part of the program. The Swiss-Russian co-production “La traductrice” (the translator) by Elena Hazanov (Production: Ventura Film, Meride) and the Swiss-French co-production “Pas douce” by Jeanne Waltz (Production: Thelma Film, Zurich), will participate in the Rosebud competition.
In the European Shorts program, the diploma film “Nachtflattern” by Carmen Stadler (Production: HGZ Zurich), and the animated film “The Cleaner”, directed by Dustin Rees and produced with the Lucerne School of Art and Design will be presented. They are both in the running for the UIP Prize, which qualifies to be nominated for the European Film Prize.
