„Dreamland“ in Germany: Award and Cinema Release
„Dreamland”, the feature film directed by Swiss Petra Volpe and produced by Zodiac Pictures (Zurich) and Wüste Film Ost (Berlin), has garnered the Günter Rohrbach Film Award, worth 10,000 euros. The award was presented in Neunkirchen (Saarland) in Germany.

„Dreamland”, the feature film directed by Swiss Petra Volpe and produced by Zodiac Pictures (Zurich) and Wüste Film Ost (Berlin), has garnered the Günter Rohrbach Film Award, worth 10,000 euros. The award was presented in Neunkirchen (Saarland) in Germany. German camerawoman Judith Kaufmann received the associated Saarland Film Gmbh Award for Best Cinematography, worth 3,500 euros, for her camera work in Volpe’s feature debut.
„Dreamland” is an anthology film about lust, deception and loneliness. The film portrays the fates of five people whose lives intersect with an 18-year-old Bulgarian street prostitute on Christmas Eve in Zurich. Ursina Lardi won the Swiss Film Award 2014 in the Category Best Actress for her role in „Dreamland”.
The Swiss-German coproduction, which has already competed in several international film festivals, will be released in cinemas in Germany on 20 November, 2014. Worldwide rights are handled by Picture Tree International; the film is distributed in Germany and Austria by Farbfilm-Verleih.
