“Die Frau mit den 5 Elefanten” nominated for the German Film Prize 2010

Vadim Jendreyko’s documentary film “Die Frau mit den 5 Elefanten” is continuing his successful career: the German Film Academy has nominated the multi-layered portrait of Swetlana Geier, regarded as the greatest translator of Russian literature into German, in the category “Best programme-filling documentary film”. The Swiss film musician Fabian Römer has been nominated for the film “Die Tür” in the category “Best film music”.
The film “Die Frau mit den 5 Elefanten”, produced by the Zurich company Mira Film and the German Film Tank together with 3sat and Swiss television, has already received numerous awards. Two weeks ago it won the Swiss film prize “Quartz 2010”. It has been showing in cinemas in Germany since the end of January. Its competitor for the coveted award is “Das Herz von Jenin” by Ernst Ludwig Ganzert and Ulli Pfau.
