04.04.2005
At the 28th Grenzland Film Days in Selb, Germany (March 31 – April 2005), the film “St. Francis Bird Tour” by Clemens Klopfenstein won one of the audience awards. The film opened the 2005 Film Days of Solothurn in January, was screened at the International Forum of New Cinema in Berlin in February, and will be released in Swiss movie theatres in May 2005.
The “Film Days”, taking place in the small Bavarian border town of Selb, represent a bridge between East and West, particularly to the neighboring Czech Republic where some of the screenings are held. Clemens Klopfenstein, a Swiss filmmaker who lives in Italy, accompanied his film to the festival and accepted the audience award on Saturday, April 2, 2005, consisting of a porcelain vase crafted in town by the traditional and renowned Rosenthal manufacturers.
