Hanka visits her lonely grandfather, Bobek. For her, it becomes a journey into the past, while for him, it's a confrontation with his life. At the dinner table, they open jars of preserves from earlier times. While they eat the fruits of past times, Bobek tells the stories of his lost love. He confesses about his mistakes, which led to him breaking his ex-girlfriend’s heart. The next day, Hanka helps Bobek prepare apple jam. After she leaves, Bobek is left with no choice but to finish the jam by himself.
