A personal, poetic response to the 2022 forest fire on Monte Gambarogno in Ticino. Shot on 16mm film and hand-developed with the forest’s ashes, each frame carries the physical memory of the burned landscape. Layered with sound textures made from field recordings, fire, and musical improvisations with charred wood, the film captures the forest’s wounds and resilience. It reflects on impermanence, human impact, and the transformation of a damaged land.
