Paul's parents, elderly and unwell, have announced their decision to die, together, assisted by an association. In a family that evidently suffers a lack of communication, Paul is unable to express his doubts and emotions. As he accompanies his parents to a prestigious hotel to spend their last week, he retains the hope to restore dialogue.
