The film weaves its narrative entirely from archive material from the Swiss Military Archives, recorded by “neutral” Swiss who were supposed to monitor the ceasefire on the border between North and South Korea. A tense montage deconstructs the myth of Swiss neutrality as well as a supposedly neutral gaze in the construction of self-images and images of others in a colonial gaze regime.
