Bruno is enjoying his old age in a serene and rebellious way, because he will not accept that getting old is synonymous with decline. After years of solitude, surrounded by typical old people, who he plays jokes on, he meets Michela, a woman who Bruno discovers is just like himself. After spending a number of days together, having fun and enjoying a few moments of intimacy, Bruno realizes that he is in love and tells her so. The woman, however, runs away and Bruno does not manage to find her again. Depressed and unhappy, he continues to live a lie until he comes to the greatest lie: marriage. But Bruno has already decided: the last train is waiting at the station…

Bruno vive la vecchiaia in modo sereno, divertente e anarcoide perché non accetta che la vecchiaia sia sinonimo di degrado. Dopo anni di solitudine, circondato dai soliti vecchi ai quali fa scherzi, incontra Michela, una donna che Bruno scopre essere come lui. Dopo molte giornate passate insieme, tra scherzi e momenti intimi, Bruno capisce di essere innamorato e si dichiara. Ma la donna fugge e Bruno non riesce più a ritrovarla. Depresso e infelice, continua a mentire fino ad arrivare alla bugia più grossa: il matrimonio. Ma Bruno ha già deciso: alla stazione aspetta l'ultimo treno…
