The protagonist Matthias and the director Christoph met over 25 years ago in a clinic, Matthias as a patient, Christoph as a nurse. Matthias suffers from paranoid schizophrenia, which manifests itself in recurring psychoses. Their first encounter led to a long-standing friendship. The connecting element is creativity, which both of them are passionate about and enthusiastic for. Art creates a neutral meeting place. The film dispels the cliché of the “two faces” and shows how multifaceted a person with a difficult past can be in mastering their life.
