Artist Rico Weber was first known as the assistant to Jean Tinguely and Niki de Saint Phalle. However, he has also exhibited his own works since 1978 and gained a great deal of attention with his “Energiestilleben”. The film portrays the life and work of this eminent Swiss artist and thus creates not only a touching portrait of the artist, but also serves as an enlightening testimony to the height of “Nouveau Realisme”. Intensive research for the film resulted in a host of images, including a great number of previously unreleased film sequences and photos taken from “Bande des Suisses”, which dates from 1970 to 2000.
