In the Mediterranean, the world’s deadliest migration route, maritime authorities have introduced restrictions on NGO rescue operations at sea. Humanitarian vessels now face administrative obstacles and sanctions, while loss of life persists.
This short animated film, created in collaboration with SOS Méditerranée Switzerland and the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, reflects on the consequences faced by rescue NGOs when saving lives.
Nel Mediterraneo, la rotta migratoria più mortale, le autorità marittime hanno imposto restrizioni alle operazioni di soccorso delle ONG. Le navi umanitarie affrontano ostacoli amministrativi e sanzioni, mentre continuano le perdite di vite umane. Questo breve film d’animazione, realizzato in collaborazione con SOS Méditerranée Svizzera e la Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, riflette sulle conseguenze che le ONG affrontano quando salvano vite.
