In a country at war, a Ukrainian mother channels her grief into action as she seeks justice for her son’s murder at the hands of a Russian warlord. Hoping to break the cycle of violence plaguing her family and country, Nina seeks the condemnation of those who have unleashed an undeclared war. As a way of coping with her son’s death, Nina collects evidence of his extrajudicial execution in captivity. She wants to ensure that what happened to her son is recognized as a war crime, but it never happens. Will Nina ever truly find peace within herself and with the world around her?
