John is 24 years old and weighs 150 kilos. He is a very nice and ironic boy who likes to be the center of attention. Given his passion for cinema and TV, he is not ashamed to be filmed by amusing the public dressed as a woman or imitating Oliver Hardy, but in a swimsuit he never shows up. His body is a taboo and in that flab of flab he just can't be seen or liked. It can be said that everyone likes himself apart from himself, and this makes him live a double life made of fun and sadness.
John knows he has reached the point of no return: if he goes on like this he risks his life for the pleasure of eating. After trying them all he decides to undergo a stomach reduction surgery hoping to lose at least a third of his weight.
But the journey is long, and even if the goal will be to be able to enjoy yourself in front of the mirror, both physically and psychologically you will have to do your best.
John ha 24 anni e pesa 150 chili. È un ragazzo molto simpatico e ironico a cui piace stare al centro dell’attenzione. Vista la sua passione per il cinema e la TV non si vergogna a farsi filmare divertendo il pubblico vestito da donna o imitando Oliver Hardy, ma in costume da bagno non si mostra mai. Il suo corpo è un tabù e in quello scafandro di ciccia lui proprio non si vede e non si piace. Si può dire che piace a tutti a parte a se stesso, e questo gli fa vivere una doppia vita fatta di divertimento e tristezza. John sa di essere arrivato al punto di non ritorno: se va avanti così rischia la propria vita per il gusto di mangiare. Dopo averle provate tutte decide di sottoporsi ad un intervento di riduzione dello stomaco sperando di perdere almeno un terzo del proprio peso. Ma il viaggio è lungo, e anche se il traguardo sarà potersi piacere davanti allo specchio, sia fisicamente che psicologicamente dovrà mettercela tutta.
