One night, Martin, a lonely warehouse employee, believes he witnesses a murder. Although the police investigations prove his suspicions groundless, Martin is convinced that Laura, the young woman living across the street, has shot a man. In the following days, Laura's actions reinforce Martin's suspicions. He presents the new evidence to the police, but Laura is able to give simple explanations of what she did on the night of the murder. When Martin finds out the truth, it's too late: he finds himself at the center of nightmarish events.
