After the Exxon Valdez oil tanker disaster in 1989, Exxon Corporation spent over $1.5 billion on cleaning up the ecosystem in Prince William Sound off the coast of Alaska – as well as the company's tarnished reputation.
The film exposes the dichotomy between Exxon's elaborate publicity of its clean up operation and the actual effectiveness, giving voice to the people most affected by a tragedy, and the community that lives with the effects of the spill.
