Jean-Pierre Boutier, once a talented journalist, now lazily and cynically runs a radio programme for lonely hearts. He meets Jeanne, a free-spirited outsider who refuses to join the “system” and lives from day to day. She tries to open his eyes and shake him out of his intellectual and human torpor.
