A «griot» (the Malian term for storyteller) tells us about the importance of oral history in his country. He also explains how the griots make use of today's communication technology, without endangering their tradition. Habib Koité, an international star on the Malian New Age music scene, exemplifies the modern-day griot and also provided the music for this film.
