La Lupa is the name of a singer, who specialises in bringing old Italian songs back to life with a brand new approach. She likes to pile on the emotions, and inevitably carries the audience along with her. La Lupa is more than just a singer. She brings to life the sentiments of each song, each little story. La Lupa does not present a show, she is a show. With her red hair and her husky yet tender voice this local girl from Ticino knows how to touch the raw emotions buried by the stressful routines of daily life. The film reveals her private life, introduces her friends, investigates the origins of her passion for singing, the source of her joie de vivre, and her passion for the poetry of Italy and for the poems and songs of her native land, Ticino.
La Lupa è una cantante che riscopre le canzoni tradizionali immergendosi completamente nel mare delle sue emozioni e transcinandovi il suo pubblico. Canta, ma non soltanto, lei vive con intensità tutte le storie che racconta. La Lupa non fa spettacolo: è spettacolo. Con la sua voce a volte rauca a volte dolce risveglia emozioni spesso perdute nello stress della vita quotidiana. Il film la segue nel suo modo di essere, mostra i suoi amici, la sua gioia di riscoprire giornalmente la vita, la sua passione per il canto e la poesia, l'amore per il suo paese.
